Dr. Trung Pham visit from FAA

Dr. Trung T. Pham is the FAA’s Chief Scientist and Technical Advisor for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, where he leads efforts on advancing AI/ML applications in aviation systems with a clear path to certification. He has more than 40 years of experience in software, AI, and aerospace, spanning academia, government, and industry. Prior to joining the FAA, Dr. Pham served as a professor at the U.S. Air Force Academy, conducted AI/ML research at Cyberworx, and held technical roles at NASA Johnson Space Center in automation and robotics. Dr. Pham has authored over 50 publications and two books, and is a Senior Member of both IEEE and ISA. He holds degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering (B.S., M.S., Ph.D.) from Rice University and an M.B.A. from the University of Houston–Clear Lake.
